How does that compare to this years harvest?
I think I need to get some tips from you. We don’t get nearly that many tomatoes.
This year’s harvest is on the side of the blog – but it’s really just started for tomatoes. What kind of tomatoes do you have? Are they in a pot or in the ground?
We have them in the ground. Actually, when we came home today, we picked 20 good red ( best girl?) tomatoes with lots still on the vine. It just didn’t look that good when we left. Tried one of those topsey turvey things with cherry tomatoes and it was looking good until one day it started to turn yellow and within a few days it pretty much looked dead. Got only about 20 from it.
The reason I was asking about this years harvest is because you blog title is 2013 harvest so I thought the count was last years.
This is a post from Dec 2013 – you probably saw it today because I edited the spacing a bit. But this year’s harvest is on the front page of the blog (just click “Home”)
Sounds like you’re doing pretty well, really! It’s early still, and 20 is already a lot! I don’t usually get that many from my plants, but they’re heirloom tomatoes, so they’re not bred for the production that some of the hybrids (including yours) can get, and plus they are limited by the containers.
Sounds like you might have forgotten to water the topsy turvy one? They need water probably at least once a day when it gets hot/sunny.
